Nígbà náà ni Asa mú wúrà àti fàdákà jáde nínú ilé ìṣúra ilé Olúwa àti ààfin ọba ó sì ránṣẹ́ sí Beni-Hadadi ọba Siria, ẹni tí ń gbé ní Damasku, ó wí pé,

Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
So Asa withdrew the silver and gold from the treasuries of the house of the LORD and the royal palace, and he sent it with this message to Ben-hadad king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus:

3 “Májẹ̀mú kan wà láàrín èmi àti ìrẹ, bí ó ti wà láàrín baba mi àti baba rẹ. Ẹ wò ó, mo fi wúrà àti fàdákà ránṣẹ́ sí ọ; lọ, ba májẹ̀mú tí o bá Baaṣa ọba Israẹli dá jẹ́, kí ó lè lọ kúrò ní ọ̀dọ̀ mi.”
4 Beni-Hadadi sì gbọ́ ti Asa ọba, ó sì rán àwọn olórí ogun rẹ̀ lọ sí àwọn ìlú Israẹli, wọ́n sì kọlu Ijoni, Dani, Abeli-Maimu, àti gbogbo ìlú ìṣúra Naftali.
5 Nígbà tí Baaṣa gbọ́ èyí, ó sì dá kíkọ́ Rama dúró, ó sì dá iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ dúró.
