36 Então Jesus mandou as multidões embora, e entrou na casa. Seus discípulos vieram até ele, dizendo: “Explica-nos a parábola da erva daninha escura do campo”.
37 Ele lhes respondeu: “Aquele que semeia a boa semente é o Filho do Homem,
38 o campo é o mundo, as boas sementes são os filhos do Reino, e as ervas daninhas são os filhos do maligno.
39 o inimigo que as semeou é o diabo. A colheita é o fim da era, e os ceifeiros são os anjos.
40 Como, portanto, as ervas daninhas são colhidas e queimadas pelo fogo; assim será no final desta era.
41 O Filho do Homem enviará seus anjos, e eles reunirão de seu Reino todas as coisas que causam tropeços e aqueles que fazem iniqüidade,
42 e os lançarão na fornalha de fogo. Haverá lágrimas e ranger de dentes.
