Natanaeli béèrè pé, “Báwo ni ìwọ ti ṣe mọ̀ mí?” Jesu sì dáhùn pé, “Èmi rí ọ nígbà tí ìwọ wà lábẹ́ igi ọ̀pọ̀tọ́ kí Filipi tó pè ọ́.”

Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
“How do You know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus replied, “Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.”
Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

50 Jesu sì wí fún un pé, “Ìwọ gbàgbọ́ nítorí mo wí fún ọ pé mo rí ọ lábẹ́ igi ọ̀pọ̀tọ́. Ìwọ ó rí ohun tí ó pọ̀jù ìwọ̀nyí lọ.”
51 Nígbà náà ni ó fi kún un pé, “Èmi wí fún yín nítòótọ́, ẹ̀yin yóò rí ọ̀run ṣí sílẹ̀, àwọn angẹli Ọlọ́run yóò sì máa gòkè, wọ́n ó sì máa sọ̀kalẹ̀ sórí Ọmọ Ènìyàn.”
