Wọ́n sì sin egungun Saulu àti ti Jonatani ọmọ rẹ̀ ní ilé Benjamini, ní Ṣela, nínú ibojì Kiṣi baba rẹ̀, wọ́n sì ṣe gbogbo èyí tí ọba paláṣẹ, lẹ́yìn èyí ni Ọlọ́run si gba ẹ̀bẹ̀ nítorí ilẹ̀ náà.

15 Ogun sì tún wà láàrín àwọn Filistini àti Israẹli; Dafidi sì sọ̀kalẹ̀, àti àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, ó sì bá àwọn Filistini jà, ó sì rẹ Dafidi.
16 Iṣbi-Benobu sì jẹ́ ọ̀kan nínú àwọn Rafa, ẹni tí ọ̀kọ̀ rẹ̀ wọn ọ̀ọ́dúnrún (300) ṣékélì idẹ, ó sì sán idà tuntun, ó sì gbèrò láti pa Dafidi.
17 Ṣùgbọ́n Abiṣai ọmọ Seruiah ràn án lọ́wọ́, ó sì kọlu Filistini náà, ó sì pa á. Nígbà náà ni àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Dafidi sì búra fún un pé, “Ìwọ kì yóò sì tún bá wa jáde lọ sí ibi ìjà mọ́ kí ìwọ má ṣe pa iná Israẹli.”
