12 Jesus entrou no templo de Deus e expulsou todos aqueles que venderam e compraram no templo, e derrubou as mesas dos cambistas e os assentos dos que venderam as pombas.
13 Ele lhes disse: “Está escrito: 'Minha casa será chamada casa de oração', mas vocês fizeram dela um antro de ladrões”.
14 O coxo e o cego vieram até ele no templo, e ele os curou.
15 Mas quando os chefes dos sacerdotes e os escribas viram as coisas maravilhosas que ele fez, e as crianças que estavam chorando no templo e dizendo: “Hosana ao filho de Davi!” ficaram indignados,
16 e disseram a ele: “Você ouve o que eles estão dizendo? Jesus lhes disse: “Sim. Você nunca leu: 'Da boca das crianças e dos bebês amamentando, você tem elogios perfeitos'”?
17 Ele os deixou e saiu da cidade para Bethany, e acampou lá.
18 Agora de manhã, ao voltar para a cidade, ele estava com fome.
