10 O ladrão só vem para roubar, matar e destruir. Eu vim para que eles possam ter vida, e possam tê-la em abundância.

12 Aquele que é um trabalhador contratado, e não um pastor, que não possui as ovelhas, vê o lobo chegar, deixa as ovelhas e foge. O lobo arrebata as ovelhas e as espalha.

14 Eu sou o bom pastor. Conheço o meu, e sou conhecido por mim mesmo;
15 mesmo como o Pai me conhece, e eu conheço o Pai. Eu dou minha vida pelas ovelhas.
16 Eu tenho outras ovelhas que não são deste rebanho.Devo trazê-las também, e elas ouvirão minha voz. Elas se tornarão um só rebanho com um só pastor.
