4 Ze waren samen op weg gegaan, maar de andere leerling liep sneller dan Petrus, en kwam het eerst bij het graf.

5 Hij bukte zich voorover, en zag het lijnwaad liggen; maar hij ging er niet binnen.

6 Nu kwam ook Simon Petrus achter hem aan, ging het graf binnen, en zag het lijnwaad liggen,

7 met de zweetdoek, die zijn hoofd had bedekt; deze lag niet bij het lijnwaad, maar afzonderlijk opgerold op een andere plaats.

8 Nu ging ook de andere leerling binnen, die het eerst bij het graf was gekomen. En nu hij het zag, geloofde hij ook;

9 want ze kenden de Schrift nog niet, dat Hij uit de doden moest opstaan.

10 Toen gingen de leerlingen weer naar huis.
