Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.

1 E quando furon vicini a Gerusalemme e furon giunti a Betfage, presso al monte degli Ulivi, Gesù mandò due discepoli,
2 dicendo loro: Andate nella borgata che è dirimpetto a voi; e subito troverete un’asina legata, e un puledro con essa; scioglieteli e menatemeli.
3 E se alcuno vi dice qualcosa, direte che il Signore ne ha bisogno, e subito li manderà.
4 Or questo avvenne affinché si adempisse la parola del profeta:
5 Dite alla figliuola di Sion: Ecco il tuo re viene a te, mansueto, e montato sopra un’asina, e un asinello, puledro d’asina.
