Ed ora a voi che dite: oggi o domani andremo nella tal città e vi staremo un anno, e trafficheremo, e guadagneremo;

Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business, and make a profit.”
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit.”

14 mentre non sapete quel che avverrà domani! Che cos’è la vita vostra? Poiché siete un vapore che appare per un po’ di tempo e poi svanisce.
15 Invece di dire: se piace al Signore, saremo in vita e faremo questo o quest’altro.
16 Ma ora vi vantate con le vostre millanterie. Ogni cotal vanto è cattivo.
