And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
After removing Saul, He raised up David as their king and testified about him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse a man after My own heart; he will carry out My will in its entirety.’
When he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, to whom he also testified, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all my will.’

23 Dalla progenie di lui Iddio, secondo la sua promessa, ha suscitato a Israele un Salvatore nella persona di Gesù,
24 avendo Giovanni, prima della venuta di lui, predicato il battesimo del ravvedimento a tutto il popolo d’Israele.
25 E come Giovanni terminava la sua carriera diceva: Che credete voi che io sia? Io non sono il Messia; ma ecco, dietro a me viene uno, del quale io non son degno di sciogliere i calzari.
