For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it.
For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.

3 Ma anyị bụ ndị kweere na-abanye nʼebe izuike ahụ, dị ka Chineke si kwuo, “Aṅụrụ m iyi nʼiwe m, ‘Ha agaghị abanye nʼizuike m ma ọlị.’ ” O kwuru nke a nʼagbanyeghị na ọ rụchaala ọrụ ya site na ntọala ụwa.
4 Nʼihi nʼotu ebe, o nweela ihe o kwuru banyere ụbọchị nke asaa site nʼokwu ndị a: “Chineke zuru ike site nʼọrụ ya niile, nʼụbọchị nke asaa.”
5 Ma nʼebe a kwa, e kwuru, “Ha agaghị abanye nʼebe izuike m ma ọlị.”
