Nʼoge gara aga, ọ bụladị mgbe Sọl bụ eze, ọ bụ gị duuru ndị agha Izrel nʼọgụ niile, ma ọpụpụ ma mbata. Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke gị, sịrị gị, ‘Ị ga-azụ ndị m, bụ Izrel, ị ga-abụkwa onye ga-achị ha.’ ”

And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD thy God said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over my people Israel.
Even in times past, while Saul was king, you were the one who led Israel out and brought them back. And the LORD your God said, ‘You will shepherd My people Israel, and you will be ruler over them.’”
In times past, even when Saul was king, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. The LORD your God said to you, ‘You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince over my people Israel.’”

4 Devid na ndị Izrel zọọrọ ije garuo Jerusalem nke bụ Jebus. Ma ndị Jebus bi nʼebe ahụ,
5 gwara Devid sị, “Ị gaghị abata nʼebe a.” Nʼagbanyeghị okwu ndị a, Devid dọtara ebe ahụ e wusiri ike nke Zayọn nʼagha, ya bụ obodo Devid.
