“हे बाशान की गायों, यह वचन सुनो, तुम जो सामरिया पर्वत पर हो, जो कंगालों पर अंधेर करती, और दरिद्रों को कुचल डालती हो, और अपने-अपने पति से कहती हो, ‘ला, दे हम पीएँ!’

2 परमेश्वर यहोवा अपनी पवित्रता की शपथ खाकर कहता है, देखो, तुम पर ऐसे दिन आनेवाले हैं, कि तुम काँटों से, और तुम्हारी सन्तान मछली की बंसियों से खींच ली जाएँगी।
3 और तुम बाड़े के नाकों से होकर सीधी निकल जाओगी और हेर्मोन में डाली जाओगी,” यहोवा की यही वाणी है।
4 “बेतेल में आकर अपराध करो, और गिलगाल में आकर बहुत से अपराध करो; अपने चढ़ावे भोर को, और अपने दशमांश हर तीसरे दिन ले आया करो;
