To Give Your Life to Christ
Every other prayer in this library assumes this one has been prayed. It is placed last so that a searching reader arrives at it — and it is written to be prayed by someone who has never prayed before and does not know the words.
Jesus, I do not have this figured out and I am not going to pretend. I believe You are the Son of God, that You died for what I have done, and that God raised You from the dead. I turn from the life I have been living. Forgive me. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Come into my life and be Lord of it — not just a comfort in it. I receive You, and I become a child of God. Teach me how to follow You from here. Amen.
- I am a child of God.
- Old things are passed away; all things are become new.
- I am not who I was.
Once — and then tell one person.
