Prayer 32 of 35 · Psalm 121:1–8 · Psalm 91:11–12
'He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.' Verse 8 covers the whole journey in one line: 'The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in.' Departure and arrival, both named.
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills — my help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. Keep my going out and my coming in. Guard this vehicle, this aircraft, this road, and everyone travelling it with me. Give the driver alertness and the pilot steadiness. Let no accident find me and let no delay harm me. Give Your angels charge over me in all my ways. Bring me to my destination and bring me home again. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Before departure, aloud, with everyone travelling.
