Prayer 8 of 35 · Psalm 139:13–18 · Psalm 128:1–6
Psalm 139 is the only passage that describes God at work inside the womb — 'curiously wrought,' days written in a book before one of them existed. Psalm 128 speaks the blessing outward over the whole household. Together they cover the child forming and the home preparing.
Father, You are already at work in this womb, knitting together what no hand of mine can reach. I thank You that this child is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that every one of their days was written in Your book before one of them came to be. Cover this pregnancy — the mother's body, her strength, her rest, and her mind. Silence every fear and every voice of complication. Let this child be born whole, in Your timing, into a home where You are honoured. Bless this household as You have promised to bless the one that fears You, and let us see our children's children. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Each morning, with a hand on the womb, through to delivery.
