Prayer 6 of 35 · Isaiah 47:1–15 · Isaiah 54:15–17
Isaiah 47 is God's verdict on Babylon, the ancient capital of enchantment and astrology: 'Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee.' They cannot. Occult power is counterfeit — impressive in the dark, nothing in the light. Isaiah 54 supplies the standing order: no weapon shall prosper.
Lord God, You frustrate the tokens of the liars and make diviners mad. I renounce every work of darkness, every enchantment, every word spoken over my life by any power that is not Yours — and I renounce any door I have opened myself, knowingly or in ignorance. Let the counsel of stargazers and prognosticators fail as You have promised it will fail. Cover my household, my body, my mind, my sleep, my work, and my children under the blood of Jesus. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment I condemn, for this is my heritage as Your servant. In the name of Jesus Christ, who disarmed principalities and made a show of them openly. Amen.
Aloud, standing, three times — and once over each room of your home.
