Churches
Roman Catholic
The largest Christian body in the world, present in nearly every country.
What it is
Governed by bishops in communion with the Pope. Worship centres on the Mass. Holds Scripture together with sacred tradition and the teaching office of the church.
What to listen for
Is Christ crucified and risen preached from the Bible, and is the text read and explained?
A label tells you the tradition, not the church. Two congregations under the same name can be entirely different. Visit the one on your road and put it through the questions from Scripture.
