Churches
Pentecostal
The fastest-growing stream worldwide — Brazil, Nigeria, Kenya, the Philippines, Indonesia, Latin America, and everywhere else.
What it is
Emphasises the present work of the Holy Spirit, including spiritual gifts, healing and empowered witness. Includes the Assemblies of God, the Church of God and many national bodies.
What to listen for
Weigh every prophecy and every claim against Scripture — 1 Thessalonians 5:21 tells you to.
A label tells you the tradition, not the church. Two congregations under the same name can be entirely different. Visit the one on your road and put it through the questions from Scripture.
