1 Samuel 3
Samuel was a boy who helped in God's house. One night, lying on his mat, he heard someone call his name. He ran to old Eli — 'You called me!' But Eli had not. It happened again. And again. The third time, Eli understood, and told him what to say. So when the voice came a fourth time, Samuel said, 'Speak; for thy servant heareth.' And God spoke to him — and kept speaking to him for the rest of his life.
How quiet do you have to be to hear a whisper?
Speak; for thy servant heareth.
