The empty tomb

Matthew 28

On Friday Jesus died, and His friends put Him in a tomb cut out of rock and rolled a huge stone across the door. Everyone went home crying. But very early on Sunday morning, some women came with spices — and the stone had been moved. The tomb was empty. An angel sat on the stone and said the best sentence anyone has ever said: 'He is not here: for he is risen.'
