Feeling and fact are two different instruments, and only one of them is reliable. Scripture records long dry stretches in people God plainly loved — the psalmists ask how long more than any other question. Check the ordinary causes first: unconfessed sin, exhaustion, no sleep, no food, no fellowship. Then keep doing what you did when you felt Him, because obedience in the dark is worth more than obedience in the light.
How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
Psalm 13:1
Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
Isaiah 50:10
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5
