The Bible gives real answers without pretending they close the wound. Much suffering is the direct consequence of human freedom misused, and a world where love is possible is a world where harm is possible. Some is discipline that produces what comfort never could. Some, as in Job, is never explained to the sufferer at all — and notice that God's answer to Job was not a reason but a Person. The final Christian answer is not an argument but a fact: God did not exempt Himself. He entered it and was crucified.
