Is it a sin to drink, smoke, get a tattoo, or watch that?

Scripture bans drunkenness outright and never bans wine; it warns about what you let form you, and leaves a real category of things that are lawful but not always wise. Paul gives three working questions: does it master me, does it help me, and does it wound someone weaker who is watching. Run the thing you are asking about through those three, honestly, and you will usually have your answer without needing a rule.

Go and see for yourself

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

1 Corinthians 6:12

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Ephesians 5:18

It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

Romans 14:21

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
