I am mocked or persecuted for my faith.

Jesus told His followers to expect it and called it a form of blessing, which sounds strange until you notice the company it puts you in — the prophets were treated the same way. Stay kind, stay excellent at your work, and answer with reasons rather than heat. Where the hostility is criminal or dangerous, take proper steps; meekness is not passivity, and Paul used his legal rights more than once.
